Jeana Hoffman has had a tremendous career in basketball that has covered her high school career in Mitchell and college career at Texas State University and the University of South Dakota.
At Mitchell High School, Jeana was a three time all-state player. She was named the the Argus Leader First Five MVP in the same season that the Mithchell Kernels won the state championship (2003). She holds the state tournament record for three point field goals made. In 2004, she was named the AA player of the year as well as earning the Gatorade Player of the Year for South Dakota.
Jeana was a two-year starter at Division I Texas State University prior to transferr ing back to the University of South Dakota. At USD, she was named the NCC Regular Season Co-MVP her senior year as well as the MVP of the NCC Tournament. Leading the Coyotes to a NCAA D-II runner-up finish, she was named to the Elite 8 All-Tournament team. She is the single season record holder for three point field goals in a season (127), which was #1 in the nation for three’s made per game (3.6).
Following her collegiate playing career, she played professionally in the Netherlands for the Leiderdorp Wereldtickets. She was named their MVP where she was 2nd in the league in scoring (21.0 ppg.).
Jeana resides in Sioux Falls where she is employed with the Good Samaritan Center.
